I want the boolean values to map to the checkboxes in the Data Grid, but they don't, and I don't get any events in the viewmodel when the values are changed. But I will accept because I think it led me down the path that seems to work. While I try to avoid code behind, I think my use in this solution is acceptable, as the view is simply preparing to display the View Model which has a dynamic size (or shape).I am thinking that I need to change out the datatable as seen in other related questions, but they are all responding to the viewmodel changing the view (like a button that adds a column), rather than having the change come from the datagrid within the view. It works except that the two way binding does not get back to the datatable.() select dc. Instead of reading to a Data Table, I read to an object that contains a list of strings and two booleans. We know the framework will handle any add/remove operations to this collection. Then to notify when I change a property within the entity in an observable collection, I've used a notify property within the as an example. I think yours is slightly different, but they overlap on the concepts. Observable Collection Notify when property changed in MVVM EDIT If the datagrid is sorted the previous method will not update the grid.Any modifications to an element within the list will not have have the notify message sent.To do this, the simplest method is to implement the to the elements used in the Observable Collection I'm using PRISM 5 in the example, so it should be pretty equal to what you're doing. The data grid will now refresh with the new data you assigned to the highlighted index.
NET so I would suggest you do some reading on working with data in .Please use dg Data Of Index unless you have a later version. I could bound the data in a datagrid, but the changes I make in items does not fire the Raise Property Changed method of the Model. i m retrieving values from database using datagrid and i want to update the database using that similar datagrid but somehow i m having trouble, can anyone guide me how to do that.....i mean when the query is executed and selected data is retrieved if the user wants to update something he/she can do it at the datagrid in which value is being displayed.... there are really many ways to work with data and in a lot of times it is a developer preference to work one way or another.
